Description

If you are interested in writing autobiographically but are not sure where to start, or you’ve done some writing about aspects of your life and would like to improve your skills, then this workshop is for you. We will aim to cover the following:

• The difference between autobiography, memoir and biography

• The why, who and what of autobiographical writing

• Making writing engaging and interesting

• The pitfalls and pleasures of writing about real events and people

This workshop will consist of direct teaching, writing exercises, working by yourself and with others and looking at the work of other writers.

Anything else

Please bring paper and pen or your laptop/tablet, whichever you prefer.

Hot drinks will be provided free of charge during the day. We will have a half hour lunch break at approximately 1.00pm and a comfort break mid-afternoon. Lunch is not provided so please bring your own.
