Description

If you are interested in writing creatively but are not sure where to start, or you’ve done some writing and would like to improve your skills, then this workshop is for you. We will aim to cover the following:

• How to actively gain inspiration for writing and how to turn your ideas into a workable plot

• How to describe effectively

• How to create believable and rounded characters

• How to write effective dialogue

This workshop will consist of direct teaching, writing exercises, working by yourself and with others and looking at the work of other writers.

Anything else

Please bring paper and pen or your laptop/tablet, whichever you prefer.

Hot drinks will be provided free of charge during the day. We will have a half hour lunch break at approximately 1.00pm and a comfort break mid-afternoon. Lunch is not provided so please bring your own.
